A professional services contract will be awarded for Professional Engineering and Design services for the City of Baytown in its implementation of a project for Lone Star Avenue Extension and Park & Ride Facility Construction located with the northern portion of the San Jacinto Boulevard District (SJBD) 1. A Preliminary Engineering Review (PER) has been completed for planned improvements to the northern portion of the San Jacinto Boulevard District (SJBD). Engineering Design services for the Lone Star Avenue Extension and Park & Ride Facility Construction will address the following proposed infrastructure improvements o Roadway Extension i. Lone Star Avenue extension from IH-10 to San Jacinto Boulevard (4,236 LF) to be designed as a 4-lane curb and gutter boulevard as specified in the PER ii. Necessary roadway connections and related items as needed o Roadway Drainage i. Stormwater trunk line system as calculated for a 5-year storm event ii. Design for Off-site Detention will NOT be included in this contract o Utilities i. Water Line Extensions ii. Wastewater Line Extensions iii. Details provided in PER Section 1.3 - Description of Proposed Improvements o Easement/Right of Way i. Services will be provided consistent with the following 1. 80' Right of Way 2. Design should include metes and bounds for ROW acquisition 3. Design will assume ROW acquisition by City of Baytown o Environmental Items i. Review PER/Phase 1 Environmental Study findings ii. Identify any additional Environmental Engineering needs o Park & Ride Facility i. Obtain requirements for facility from Harris County Transit ii. Ensure compliance with federal funding (FTA) requirements iii. Estimated scope is for confirmation of site selection, parking lot, lighting, shade structures, benches, and other appurtenances as deemed necessary by the Harris County Transit The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
