The work requires the winning bidder to modernize and maintain three (3) hydraulic elevators in a triplex operating configuration at MDC HQ at 555 Main St in Hartford CT and to modernize and maintain one (1) passenger elevator, and decommission another at 240 Brainard Rd in Hartford CT. The winning bidder must also provide maintenance to the systems for a term of five (5) years. In order to be considered a responsible Bidder, attendance at the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and at the two site tours is required. Failure to attend and sign the attendance sheet at the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and site tours will result in your bid being deemed non-responsive and ineligible for review and award by the District. Prospective Bidders will be expected to have read and reviewed the Contract. No Contracts, or bid packages will be distributed at the Pre-Bid Conference. Prospective Bidders will be able to ask questions of the District staff regarding the project during the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and site tours. Bidders are required to attend the Pre-Bid Conference and site tours to familiarize themselves with the location, scope of work to be done and conditions which would affect the Contractor's work.
