Renovation of a water / sewer project in North Lauderdale, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The existing Water Treatment Plant (WTP) facility has been very well maintained but is exhibiting signs of corrosion at the east lime silo. In addition, the west lime silo and slaker are aged and near the end of their life cycle. This project is for the replacement of the two existing water treatment units along with their associated lime silos and slaker units. As of October 19, 2022, this project is included in the City of North Lauderdale 2023-2027 CIP Budget. Information regarding a design team and the contractor selection has not been disclosed. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
