Work Summary: The Kane Glen Hazel Roof Repairs Project is defined by the Construction Documents and Specifications. A general summary of Work is as follows: 1. Provide labor, materials, and equipment required to repair roof at Kane Glen Hazel. Perform Work under following Prime Contracts: a. General Construction. 2. Repair the following: a. Mobilize all necessary Equipment, Tools, Workers and Materials b. Repair existing parapet wall where indicated: remove metal coping. Remove roof flashings. Provide new 2 ply modified bitumen flashings; degranulate existing field membrane for new flashing tie in. Reinstall or provide new metal coping to match existing adjacent coping. c. Replace vent flashings. Remove lead vent flashing. Provide new lead flashing. Provide 2 ply modified bitumen flashing. Degranulate existing field membrane for new flashing tie in. d. Repair blisters where indicated: provide three course repair; roof cement plus fabric plus roof cement. e. Reinstall metal counter flashings where indicated. f. Repair flashing openings where indicated: provide three course repair or torch. If torch is used comply with torch safety requirements below. g. Repair corners: provide three course repair or torch. If torch is used comply with torch safety requirements below. h. Torch Safety: Crew members handling torches shall be trained by an Authorized Certified Roofing Torch Applicator (CERTA) Trainer, be certified according to CERTA torch safety guidelines as published by the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) and follow torch safety practices as required by the contractor's insurance carrier. Designate one person on each crew to perform a daily fire watch. designated crew member shall watch for fires or smoldering materials on all areas during roof construction activity, and for the minimum period required by CERTA guidelines after roofing material application has been suspended for the day. 3.General Provisions a.
