The work includes the furnishing of labor, materials, supplies and equipment required for the construction of the title project, which consists of the following major elements: Invitation to Bid Job No. WW21-08 Installation of approximately 940 linear feet of 30-inch diameter sewer gravity line along the Honoapiilani Highway starting at the intersection of the Honoapiilani Highway and Kaanapali Parkway, proceeding north and ending at the existing Lahaina Wastewater Pump Station. The Work shall consist of furnishing construction materials, mobilization, traffic and pedestrian control, erosion control, sawcutting, removal and replacement of varying thickness of PCC pavement (sidewalk, driveways, and ADA curb ramps), clearing and grubbing, root cutting, root grinding, grading, irrigation and curb repair, compaction, dust control, information signs, and survey monument preservation as required. Sidewalk shall match existing width and appearance of adjacent areas, including score lines and finish and restore all areas to preconstruction conditions. Demolition and disposal of approximately 800 linear feet pf 27-inch abandoned sewer line along Honoapiilani Highway. Repair and coating of existing sewer manholes. Construction of new sewer manholes. Traffic control. Restoration of trench excavation, paving. Other miscellaneous ancillary work Bidders must be qualified in compliance with section 103D-310 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. Bidders are required to comply with newest procurement code, HRS, Chapter 103-D, any rules and regulations and policy directives issued with respect to Chapter 103-D and any amendments thereof. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: cash, a cashier's check, or a certified check on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidder's bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the Director of Finance in the manner, form, and amount required by Section 103D-323 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid submitted. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be conducted for the project.
