Renovation of an educational facility in Kirksville, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The contractor will be required to adhere to the following project requirements: 1. Scope of Work: a. Fill cracked tube with a model K-L3000 or equivalent product, and install plugs on both ends. b. Install refractory in firebox where it was removed to identify the cracked tube. c. Repair boiler with all joints and seams sealed with vapor-barrier paint. d. Replace any insulation and metal boiler skin that was removed as a result of the repair. e. Hydro-test repairs, bring boiler up to working pressure and temperatures. f. Provide a copyright-protected repair symbol of the National Board (R-stamp) if required by extent of work. 2. All labor, tools, and materials necessary for the completion of the project will be furnished by the Contractor. All materials used will be new unless otherwise specified. Both materials and workmanship will be of the best quality and will be subject to the approval of the Physical Plant Director. All labor will be performed in a firstclass, substantial, neat and workmanlike manner. All damage related to this project will be repaired by the Contractor, including any building damage, glass breakage, exterior and interior walls, floors and surrounding grounds. It is implied that the selected Contractor will make all parts come together in a neat and finished manner. The selected Contractor may contact the Physical Plant Director for additional details. 3. Warranty all products, materials, repairs and workmanship for not less than one (1) year. Work will begin upon award and an executed contractual agreement. Contractor will coordinate and schedule its work with Truman. Work will be completed by December 1, 2022.
