Remodeling of an educational facility in Polk City, Florida. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.
DEMO: Remove Door Systems as indicated. Remove existing lavatory as indicated. Remove portion of existing stud wall as indicated. Remove existing specialties as indicated. Remove existing casework and fixtures as indicated. Remove existing TVs and brackets (turn over to owner) as indicated. Protect existing fixtures and casework removed for reinstallation as noted. Protect adjacent finished surfaces from damage during demolition. Remove existing floor finishes as indicated. CASEWORK: Reinstall/relocate existing casework (provide support as specified). Provide labor, materials, and equipment for the installation of new custom casework. Provide labor, materials, and equipment for the installation of new custom soffit (above new casework). Provide shop drawings, product data, and color samples for owner approval. FINISH CARPENTRY: Provide labor, materials, and equipment to install all stain grade finish carpentry (base, chair rail, wainscoting, etc.). Provide labor, materials, and equipment to install any required blocking. Install owner furnished slat wall inlays as indicated on drawings. Install/construct owner furnished slat wall partitions as indicated on drawings. Provide material product data, shop drawings, and color samples (if applicable). FRAMING AND DRYWALL: Provide labor, materials and equipment for the construction of all newly framed walls and drywall as indicated on the plans. Drywall to be level 5 finish. Provide blocking as necessary for plumbing fixtures and TV brackets. Provide necessary bracing of walls as specified. Provide material product data, shop drawings, and color samples (if applicable). FLOORING - TILE: Provide labor, materials, and equipment for the installation of floor and wall tile. Provide material product data, shop drawings, and color samples (if applicable). FLOORING - CARPET: Provide labor, materials, and equipment for the installation of carpet/carpet squares. Provide material product data, shop drawings, and color samples (if applicable). PAINTING: Provide labor, materials, and equipment for the application of paint (1 coat primer, 2 coats finish minimum). Match existing color and scheme. Stain all trim to match slatwall finish as installed by other (wainscot, chair rail, base, etc.). Provide material product data, shop drawings, and color samples (if applicable). Painting in accordance with Campus Design Standards. SUSPENDED CEILINGS: Provide labor, materials, and equipment for the installation of suspended slat wall ceilings. Basis of design is Armstrong Woodworks Grille 7266. Provide material product data, shop drawings, and color samples. Coordination with electrical/lighting is required. Provide supports require, in accordance with manufacture's specifications, to support and hang the suspended ceiling system. Coordination with the owner, of the support locations will be required to ensure the aesthetic outcome. Provide 3 prices as indicated on the plans (Base Bid, Add Alternate 1, Add Alternate 2) PLUMBING Provide labor, materials, and equipment for the installation of new plumbing fixtures. Provide labor, materials and equipment to relocate sink plumbing in wall as noted on plans. Provide material product data, shop drawings, and color samples (if applicable). HVAC Provide labor, materials, and equipment for the extension of existing HVAC (including ductwork). Ductwork and grills to match existing. Provide material product data, shop drawings, and color samples (if applicable). ELECTRICAL Provide labor, material, and equipment for electrical (power, lighting, etc.). Demo of existing lighting and remove associated power as required. Coordination of light fixture layout and wood slat ceilings. Refer to architectural drawings for coordination of lighting, and switch layouts. Provide material product data, shop drawings, and color samples (if applicable). Question Deadline: 10/24/2022; 4PM Any explanation desired regarding the meaning or interpretation of the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc., must be requested in writing to bids@floridapoly.edu prior to the question deadline date; 10/24/2022; 4:00 PM (ET). Oral explanations or instructions given before the award of the contract will not be binding. Any information provided will be posted The University reserves the right to reject any or all responses and to waive informalities and minor irregularities of responses received. A written communication by the Procurement Representative, will be provided to the successful Respondent(s). The University reserves the right to award multiple Respondents a contract for this project.
