The City of Surrey (the "City") invites contractors to provide a quotation on the form attached as Schedule B - Form of Quotation to Attachment 1 - Agreement - Goods and Services (the "Quotation") for the supply of the goods (if any) and services described in Schedule A - Specifications of Goods and Scope of Services to Attachment 1 - Agreement - Goods and Services (the "Goods and Services"). The description of the Goods and Services sets out the minimum requirements of the City. A person that submits a Quotation (the "Contractor") should prepare a Quotation that meets the minimum requirements, and may as it may choose, in addition, also include goods, services or terms that exceed the minimum requirements. 1. Mowing: All lawns at Public Buildings to be mowed to a uniform height of 1.5 - 2 inches (40 - 50 mm) on each visit between March 15 - November 15, at a frequency not exceeding 7 calendar days between each cut. Contractor shall perform mowing operations in a professional manner to maintain a groomed appearance, ensuring a smooth surface without scalping. Mowing patterns are to be alternated to prevent rutting and grass from laying down. To maintain a neat appearance, any accumulated grass clippings are to be mown over and mulched on lawn areas, leaving no visible clumps. Mow away from plant beds and tree grates to keep grass clippings out of tree wells and mulched horticultural area(s). All adjacent hard surface areas must be free of any grass clippings after each mowing service. In addition, all boulevards adjacent to park and public building properties are to be cut. 2. Litter & Debris Control: On each visit the Contractor shall be responsible for the collection and removal of both vegetative and non-vegetative litter debris from all lawn areas within the contracted site. All material is to be disposed of off-site in an acceptable manner. All inquiries related to this RFQ should be directed in writing to purchasing@surrey.ca
