**As of December 29, 2022, project was awarded to EF Possinger and Sons, Inc. awarded amount is $76,244.23** Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least 10 percent (10%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a Satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond and Labour and Material Bond in an amount of 100% of the contract amount. A Certificate of Insurance, showing proof of Workers Compensation Coverage, must also be submitted. The project will require minimum wages and salaries to meet the PA Prevailing Wage requirements. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Award of the Contract will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities permitted by law. Bids may be held by the Township for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening for the purpose of reviewing Bids and investigating qualifications of bidders prior to awarding Contract. The Township intends to award the contract at a Board of Supervisors Meeting on November 23, 2022. All questions concerning the bid documents or the project in general should be submitted to the Engineer no later than 4:30 p.m. November 3, 2022. Any additional questions must be submitted in writing via PennBid to the Township Engineer, at LVL Engineering Group b The Base Bid shall consist of the removal of an existing corrugated metal pipe and the installation of a 48-inch reinforced concrete pipe with Type D endwalls. Associated work includes erosion and sedimentation controls, pavement installation, mill and overlay to achieve proposed pavement grades, removal and reinstallation of guiderail, and seeding and mulching.
