Site work for a water / sewer project in Pompano Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Question Cuttoff Date & Time 11/10/2022 05:00:00 PM (ET) The City is seeking a qualified marine Contractor to furnish all labor, equipment, tools, and materials to replace a section of concrete bulkhead and marginal dock at the Alsdorf Park public boat ramp facility located at 2901 NE 14 th St., Pompano Beach, FL, 33062, on the north side of the 14 th Street Causeway along the westerly shoreline of the Intracoastal Waterway (ICWW). The section of bulkhead and dock to be replaced extends from the easterly boat ramp along the Caliban Canal to the confluence of the ICWW. The existing bulkhead is approximately 370 feet in length and comprised of concrete panels, concrete Tpiles and concrete cap supported laterally by combination of concrete batter piles and tie-back systems. The marginal dock is five (5) feet wide, approximately 350 feet in length and constructed using pressure treated timber piles and substructure with composite decking. The proposed project includes the demolition and removal of the existing bulkhead and dock and reconstruction of the bulkhead using concrete panels, concrete king and batter piles and concrete cap. As an alternate, the City is seeking a price to reconstruct the bulkhead using composite sheet pile with concrete cap and concrete batter piles. As a requirement, the bidder must provide pricing for both the concrete bulkhead and the sheet pile alternative. The City will determine which alternative method will be used. It is a requirement that the new bulkhead be constructed no further waterward than the existing wall, which will necessitate the removal of the existing bulkhead in its entirety. A small section of the new bulkhead, approximately 53 feet in length, will be offset landward of the existing bulkhead six (6) feet to allow for the installation of a 40-foot floating platform. Bulkhead construction activities will require the removal and restoration of asphalt and addition of gravel stormwater collection areas with small catch basins and jet filter discharges. Fill will be required over a section of the new bulkhead to elevate natural grades to the level of the new concrete cap.
