Renovation of a municipal facility in Gainesville, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Part 1: Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) will be replacing the second transformer (T92) at Serenola substation in early 2023. The existing transformer foundation needs to be removed and replaced with a larger, thicker foundation. In addition, there are four (4) pier foundations that need to be partially removed and four (4) new pier foundations need to be installed in nearby locations. There are also two small junction boxes and associated conduits that will need to be removed. These are shown on the photos at the end of the specifrictaion. Detailed drawings showing the foundation removals and details on the new foundations have been included with this specification. Work shall be per the referenced drawings and referenced specifications. Contractor shall be responsible for the disposal of all material removed. Contractor shall also be responsible for providing new crushed stone to cover the disturbed areas. Part 2: GRU is also requesting rate sheets (see "Pricing Response Form" on Page 8 of Forms) for all future foundation projects to be submitted. Orders for future projects will be placed by purchase order in accordance with a contract that will be executed from this bid as well as task assignments outlining each future project. SBE and LOCAL ENTITIES are encouraged to participate in the bid process.
