The objective of the project to construct a new baffle wall and repair of the existing baffle inside the Baker Street Combined Sewer Discharge (CSD) and repair the leaks in the existing backflow valve. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 10.00%. The LBE subcontracting requirement can only be met certified San Francisco Micro and Small-LBEs. The main objective of the project is to provide baffle improvements and repair the leaking backflow valve in the Baker Street Combined Sewer Discharge (CSD). Contract work includes concrete repairs, baffle wall construction, concrete weir construction and the installation of backflow valves, which are all done in a confined space and in marine environment. Only specific qualified contractors will be able to perform the work. SFPUC-LBEs cannot be counted towards meeting the LBE subcontracting requirement(s). Prime and Joint Venture level LBE participation cannot be counted towards meeting any of the LBE subcontracting requirement(s). LBE subcontractors must be certified in the scope of work they are being listed to perform.
