Renovation of a museum in Wilmington, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a museum.
As of August 13, 2024, this project is on hold. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to solicit qualifications from qualified firms to provide complete Design Services for the renovation and redesign of the current Market Street location of the Cape Fear Museum to serve as the location for the back-of-house support, collection storage and educational function for the Museum. The anticipated services will be divided into 2 phases and include: Phase 1 Services: - Space Needs Assessment and Concept Plan - Budget Estimate based on SNA & Concept Phase 2 Services: - Complete Architectural, Structural, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, Security, Site Engineering design and permitting - Coordination with selected Construction Manager @Risk during design, bidding, and construction - Complete Construction Administration Services Complete FFE layout, design, specifications, & bidding New Hanover County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Statements of Qualifications and to make the award which will be most advantageous to the County. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
