The York County Libraries (The Owner) will receive bids for Glatfelter Memorial Library - Renovations for the following Prime Contracts: Contract No. 1 - Roof Replacement Contract; includes the removal and replacement of the existing shingle underlayment and metal roof edging. Provide new shingle roofing and underlayment replace deteriorated decking. Contract No. 2 - Automatic Door Operator Contract; includes providing two automatic door openers and 3 wireless pushbutton actuators including related wiring. Contract No. 3 - HVAC Replacement Contract; includes removing 5 existing HVAC outdoor condensing units, refrigerant lines, associated indoor gas furnace, and existing thermostat. Replace with new outdoor condensing units, refrigerant lines, indoor gas furnace, and new thermostats as well as modifying the existing electrical circuits. Contract No. 4 - Interior Lighting Replacement Contract; includes removal of the existing ceiling mounted lights, exterior soffit lights, emergency light fixtures, providing new light fixtures, and digital lighting control system including main interior lights, new emergency lights, and new exit lights. Contract No. 5 - ADA Accessible Route Improvement Contract; includes providing additional curb cuts with tactile warning, restriping ADA Parking spots. Contract estimates range from $25,000 to $300,000 depending on the contract. Project will be funded in part by a Keystone Grant and the Base Bid shall include PA Prevailing Wage Rates. Clarification Deadline 10/28/2022 2:00 Pm Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form of AIA Document A310 Bid Bond, from an approved Surety Company, certified check, or cashier's check payable to the Owner, in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Base Bid. If the Bid Security is provided by check, a scan of check shall be submitted with bid, with the original being provided within two (2) business days of bid opening if bidder is the apparent low responsible bidder No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Notice is given that the Project for which construction bids are being solicited hereby is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate prevailing minimum wage rates as promulgated under provisions of said Act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids, or to reject any or all bids to the extent permitted by law.
