Piedmont Geriatric Hospital is looking to have a contractor furnish and complete installation of condensate receiver and pump, piping and miscellaneous steam traps. Scope of Work: o Furnish and install a ARMSTRONG Model SPT-3508LBRPC-10 Simplex CI Receiver package to include insulation blankets on receiver and pump, gauge glass sets, drip trap station on motive stem. o Furnish pipe materials, labor to include vent piping to atmosphere, motive steam supply to pump, drain valve piping, discharge piping from pumper to existing condensate return to boiler plant. o Furnish pipe materials and labor to rework condensate piping from West End of building 15 condensate return to new condensate receiver pumper. o Furnish pipe materials and labor to replace condensate piping from 1200 gallon domestic hot water heater to new condensate pumper. Install new Armstrong Trap ( 2" NPT Model 30B8 F&T Trap furnished by PGH to contractor) in the same condensate line to include a by-pass around trap. Connect the other two condensate return lines in the existing return line to the new line installed by the contractor. o Furnish pipe material and labor to rework condensate piping for building 15 main heat exchanger for building heat to new condensate pumper. o Furnish and install new by-pass valve at trap station TAG 0028 in room B-7. o Furnish pipe materials and labor to remove one section of condensate pipe and check valve and reroute to existing condensate pumper to eliminate unnecessary check valve at Patterson Kelly domestic water heater. o Furnish pipe material and labor to install and connect motive steam, vent piping, pump discharge to existing steam plant condensate return for installation of the new Armstrong Receiver package. o Furnish and install one Armstrong 800 3/4" 125 Steam Trap 7164 orifice at trap station Tag # 0017 located in building 25. o Furnish and install all pipe insulation on piping installed to match existing insulation. o All installed work to be put into operation, checked for leaks and proper operation. o Mobilization, materials, labor, system operation startup, training on operation of installed package and piping, and cleanup of the job site and removal of construction debris off site is required of the contractor at completion of job. o All work to be performed between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. o Pipe hangers will be installed per I.P.C. code specifications. Responsibilities: o Contractor will perform a site visit to assess work needed prior to placing bid. o Contractor will adhere to manufactures industry standards and means and methods for all installation work activities. o Contractor will be responsible for all cleanup and removal of debris from worksite on an ongoing basis. o Contractor will keep areas clean and unobstructed so normal plant operations can be performed by plant personnel. o Contractor will provide all needed tools and safety equipment needed by contractor staff to implement and complete the job in entirety. o Contractor will give notification of at least 24 hours for any shutdown of any equipment along with time duration of outage. o Owner will allow contractor to perform needed duties between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday. o Owner will work with contractor on scheduling of any outages needed.
