The Town of Mansfield is soliciting qualifications from engineering consulting firms qualified to design, specify, and complete construction administration for pedestrian, streetscape and sanitary sewer improvements on South Eagleville Road (Route 275). This work is being undertaken to make improvements to this corridor for Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety and provide opportunities for redevelopment of housing in close proximity to the Downtown Storrs District and the University of Connecticut (UConn). The Town is recipient of a $2.8 Million Dollar Department of Economic Development Community Challenge Grant to make pedestrian improvements to the South Eagleville Road Corridor and the Town is leveraging local funds to make sanitary sewer improvements as part of the project. The successful consultant shall have experience successfully implementing streetscapes, traffic calming measures and sanitary sewer design. All work performed under this contract shall be under the direction of a professional engineer and landscape architect licensed by the State of Connecticut.
