The owner will issue a Notice of Award within 72 hours of bid opening, not counting Saturday, Sunday and Holidays. Bids will be on a lump-sum basis, price will be a predominant factor in the selection of a bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities in the bidding. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 30 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the Owner. Bids shall be submitted in strict compliance with the specifications and governing terms & conditions. Any exceptions may result in your Bid being declared non-responsive. The responsible bidder shall meet the criteria in the RCW 39.04.350.The list of subcontractors intended to be used on the project shall be submitted no later than one (1) hour after general contractos bids are received. Question regarding the bid shall be submitted no later than 4 days prior to the bid date. Questions received later that question due date will not be answered. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to submit the questions on time. See Instructions to Bidders issued with the contract documents. The project consists of a single story with a basement addition of approximately 700 square feet (SF) on the main floor and a 2,300 SF basement. The main floor includes the addition of computed tomography (CT) scan suite and the basement has storage rooms and a parking garage for an ambulance. The hospital is also replacing the generator and the main electrical service. The construction type is steel post and beam with steel studs infill, concrete masonry unit wall surrounding the garage. The floor and roof structure are steel beam, and concrete over the metal deck. Bid alternates: Alternate 1a provide electrical work as described on the electrical drawings to connect the replacement x-ray machine to the existing 208v electrical distribution system. Alternate 1b - provide electrical work as described on the electrical drawings to connect the replacement x-ray machine to the new 480v electrical distribution system. The Owner hereby notifies all bidders it will affirmatively ensure, in any contract entered into, according to this advertisement, along with minority business enterprises, full opportunities to submit bids will be afforded, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, handicap, or national origin in consideration for an award. General Contractors bidding the Project, and plan holders are responsible for incorporating all documents posted on the Dropbox site into the construction documents prior to the bid date.
