Remodeling of an educational facility in Rocklin, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.

2000 sf. Board Room remodel to technology and finishes. Work includes ADA upgrades, electrical, framing /drywall and paint, door hardware, cabinet doors /casework, counters, plumbing and other related work to complete the scope shown on the drawings. The Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment and labor necessary to complete the Scope of Work. Rocklin Campus Board Room Remodel plans prepared by AP Architects including sheets A100, A101, A102, A103, A104, A105, A106, A107, E3.1, E4.1.1 Questions Due Date: Oct 31st 2022, 2:00 PM PDT Notice of Intent to Award to the successful bidder is expected by November 13, 2022; with formal award of contract by December 13, 2022. Substantial completion of work must be achieved by February 3, 2023. Questions: Bidders shall not rely on oral statements. Oral statements will not be binding or legally effective. Bidders must submit any questions IN WRITING VIA BONFIRE to the District contact. Questions will be accepted UP TO 3 BUSINESS DAYS before the bid opening date. All questions and answers will then be sent out to all parties recorded as having attended the Mandatory Bidders Meeting; this information will be distributed NO LATER THAN 2 BUSINESS DAYS before the bid opening date. Bid Bond - A bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the bid must accompany the bid. Bid Security can be provided in the form of certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. Failure to furnish bid guarantee in the proper form and amount, by the time set for opening the bids, may be cause for rejection of the bid. Payment & Performance Bonds: The contractor awarded the project will be required to provide a 100% payment bond and 100% performance bond BEFORE work can begin. Bidders shall ensure all surety companies have a minimum A-rating as rated by the current edition of "Best's Key Rating Guide". Only California admitted surety insurers will be accepted for the issuance of bonds. o Elkay LRADQ202255, LKD2439C faucet, LK35 strainer and 34" high counter and 36" wide sink cabinet with doors, open beneath sink for ADA knee clearance. o Provide and install new undercounter refrigerator to fit beneath ADA height counter. o Demo existing carpet. o AV Cabinet location to remain, remove existing equipment and bottom shelving to perform saw cutting and installation of new AV racks. o Replace all cabinet doors, refinish exposed cabinet edges, replace all hinges with European style hinges, install new handles- color and style TBD, reuse existing locks that are pinned for SFIC (BEST). o New Formica countertops, see elevations. Color TBD. o Replace cabinet doors, refinish exposed cabinet edges. TYP. o Existing recessed electric projection screen to remain. (Contractor) Paint to match existing ceiling. o Clean all return air vents. o Demo existing electric projection screen. o Existing ceiling and fixtures to remain, take precautions to not damage any ceiling tiles. Ceiling tiles are no longer available to purchase or match closely. o Remove projector and support post. o Wall partition track to remain. Install 2 x 6 wood trim to cover existing wall partition track. Paint to match existing ceiling. o Remove monitors and mounting brackets. o Remove drywall as needed to install backing per detail 2/ A103. Coordinate mounting height and dimension in field. Allow 6" clearance above and to the side of the monitors. o Demolish existing intrusion alarm surface mounted wiring. o Remove all data and AV outlets along lower wall. Walker Duct System o NOTE: (ALL) Take special care so that 60 mil Bituthene Membrane is not damaged or penetrated. This building has previous water intrusion issues under the slab. There is also a series of drainage pipes 6" below the aggregate base. Do not cut slab more than 3.5" deep. o Walker Duct Pro series with junction boxes and preset/ afterset boxes.Use a No. 2 duct (power)and a No. 4 duct(data/AV). o Apply Tremco- TREMproof Puma system continuous at bottom of trench. Primer course to be 17mil, Base coat to be 60 mil. o Apply waterproofing sealant continuous at bottom of trench, set WalkerDuct into trench with non shrink grout. Refer to Details on A103. o 16" x 16" Walker Duct Junction box at intersections, ends, and corners. o At Podiums, Walker Duct preset or afterset floor boxes flush with carpet. One gang duplex outlet for power and one gang each for data and AV. Install brass covers flush with carpet. o At owner provided Board member desks, Install Walker Duct preset or afterset floor boxes flush with carpet. Two gang quad outlet for power and one gang each for data and AV. Install brass covers at power, provide poke throughs for AV, Data. Wall Paneling and resurfacing o Remove existing marker board cabinets, markerboards, and trim. Install new 2x wall framing to create a 6" recess for large monitor. Wall framing must be securely attached to the existing wall in order to support the approx 250 lb TV and wall bracket. See Interior elevation c for additional information. o Remove clock, provide wall jbox cover plate. o Remove Oak paneling trim, infill wall board to match flush with adjacent surface. o Paint, color TBD. o Remove drywall as needed to install backing per detail 2/ A103. Coordinate mounting height an dimension in field. Allow 6" clearance above the monitor. o Vinyl wrap(medium cherry) over existing door. Reuse existing door hardware. o Replace exit signs. o Remove and replace occupancy signs. o Remove drywall as needed to install backing per detail 2/ A103. Coordinate mounting height an dimension in field. Allow 6" clearance above the monitor. o Remove upper wood paneling and fabric wrapped material and board, install one layer of 5/8" gypsum board on top of existing 5/8" gypsum board at upper wall area(3'-2" AFF to ceiling), Finishes to align flush with new Oak paneling trim below, color TBD. o Remove lower Oak paneling TYP at lower wall and wall returns to window wall, install new medium cherry wood paneling in its place. Doors o Refinish existing doors with vinyl wrap, color to match new wood wainscot. Medium Cherry. o Vinyl wrap(medium cherry) over existing door. Install new hardware including auto door opener, see notes on A101. o Install Assa Abbloy auto door opener. Opener to mount on and above existing door. Do not cut floor slab in this area. Provide power to opener, electric strike, new Von Duprin 98 series electric panic hardware. High and Low wall pushbuttons to be battery operated. Submit for owner review of Hardware package. SFIC cores, 7 pin to be used. o Battery operated auto door opener buttons
