Renovation of a mixed-use development in Livonia, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

As of November 18, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Security Camera Upgrades at 16400 Hubbard Rd. Livonia, Ml 48154 Furnish all equipment, materials, labor, programming, and engineering to provide new video surveillance cameras as indicated on the Drawings. All bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the bid packet and all sheets must be returned for the bid. All proposals shall remain firm for a period of ninety (90) days. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part: to award to other than the low bidder: to waive any irregularities and/or informalities: and in general, to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interests of the district, including awarding by line item, with rationale to support such a decision. Livonia Public Schools local preference resolution will be followed for all proposals. All bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement of disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner and any employee of the bidder and any member of the Livonia Board of Education, the Livonia Public Schools Superintendent or Director of Finance, any member of the Wayne RESA Board of Education or the Superintendent of Wayne RESA. No bid shall be accepted that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. All bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance - Iran Economic Sanctions Act. No bid shall be accepted that does not include this sworn and notarized statemen A. Livonia Public Schools is replacing their existing Cisco video surveillance system and is requesting bid proposals to procure, install, and configure a new district wide video surveillance system, including all equipment, cameras,and a video management/storage solution. This section addresses the camera systems. B. Livonia Public Schools will have six (6) buildings undergoing renovation/addition work during the summer of 2023. This contractor shall coordinate demolition of legacy equipment and installation of new equipment at these buildings with the general trades construction schedule. These buildings shall be completed prior to the start of the new school year. Refer to Appendix - Project Schedule for additional details. C. Livonia Public Schools will accept bids for camera systems that are supported on an on-premise video management/storage solution and/or a cloud based video management system with storage local at each camera. All proposed camera manufacturer/models shall meet or exceed the specifications, field of view and all other requirements as specified and shown on the drawings. Determination of equivalency of proposed models is the sole determination of the Owner. D. Security cameras shall be installed in the interior and on the exterior of the buildings as shown on the Drawings and described in the specifications. The contractor shall work with district IT and facilities staff to connect and configure the surveillance cameras. E. Cat 6 structured cabling for existing legacy cameras shall be reused for the new security cameras. New Cat 6 structured cabling for new camera locations shall be provided by this contractor. Refer to the drawings and specification section 27 1000 for additional information and quantities of reused and new Ca 6 cables. F. This Contractor shall provide all new cameras, and mounting hardware. and install them in the locations as shown on the drawings and described herein. It shall be the awarded contractor's responsibility to closely work with and coordinate their construction schedules with the District's building schedules, Construction Manager's schedule, and the District's other contractors. G. It shall be this Contractor's responsibility to coordinate with the Owner to adjust the field of view (FOV) and position of each of the new cameras as required to obtain the required view at the monitored location. This Contractor shall provide configuration of each camera and coordination with the Owner and or the Owner's Representative to make each camera fully functional. H. Internal coverage shall consist of fixed single, dual and quad multi-sensor dome cameras rated for its environment. External coverage shall consist of fixed single, triple and quad multi-lens cameras rated for its environment, Refer to the drawings and specifications for specific camera types and locations.
