The McComb School District (MSD) is soliciting Requests for Qualifications through competitive bidding procedures from qualified entities to provide architectural/engineering design services. The Fine Arts Building will be located at 1009 Virginia Avenue, McComb MS, 39648 and will include various spaces for fine arts instruction, such as vocal and instrumental music; visual arts, such as painting, print, digital and multi-media; pottery; spaces for performing arts instruction; drama, theatre and musical productions; offices; nurse's station; and storage. Director of Finance at fortnberryz@mccomb.k12.ms.us No submitting potential vendor shall contact any representative from the MSD for purposes related to this proposal with the exception of the superintendent, Dr. Cederick Ellis, ellisc@mccomb.k12.ms.us, on or after the date of publication of this RFQ. These services are federally-funded projects through ESSER III. These services shall be provided to MSD prior to the end of fiscal year 2024. All relevant federal and state purchasing laws and regulations are to be followed. Work is anticipated to begin on or soon after January 1, 2023 and tentatively completed by June 30, 2024. a. Evaluate existing conditions, provide construction cost estimates for services for structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and architectural additions/improvements. b. Provide design drawings and specifications for solicitation of Construction Bids for the proposed additions/improvements. c. Assist the MSD in the evaluation and selection of the best construction bid for the proposed additions/improvements. d. Have a project manager available during all phases of the project to ensure compliance with all requirements and regulations. Following evaluation of the proposals, MSD may conduct additional interviews and may request additional information from one or more vendors. The contract will be awarded to the best and lowest responsible vendor. MSD reserves the right to waive any small informalities, to reject any and all proposals in part or in whole, and to evaluate the qualifications in the proposal that are most beneficial to the District. Issuance of this RFQ does not commit the MSD to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in preparation of an RFQ, or to procure related services or supplies.
