The Work consists of, but is not limited to, the upgrading of the docking fender system located at Pier 74 (and in part at Pier 73). The Works will be carried out partly above and partly under water depending on the water level at the time of the Works and include the following: - The organization of the Construction Site as described in the Specifications, as well as any temporary works necessary for the safety of the construction activities; - The mobilization of specialized floating or non-floating equipment necessary for the execution of the Work; - The dismantling and disposal of existing double tire fenders and manufactured fender systems and their accessories; - The installation and removal of temporary double tire fenders (reuse of existing fenders and salvage of double tire fenders in Section 47) as shown on the Plans to allow for the berthing of vessels during the period of performance of the Works; - The suspension of the Works, the temporary demobilization and remobilization of equipment and resources for the maintenance of port activities at the terminal; - The demolition of concrete for the construction of new concrete cushions; - The construction of new reinforced concrete cushions to accommodate the new berthing fender systems; - The supply and installation of the new berthing fender system and its various components; - The realization of the works in coordination with the operations at the Port of Montreal as well as the operator of pier 74, the company Norcan; - The dismantling and removal of the equipment and other temporary structures; - At the end of the work, the cleaning and restoration of the site to its original state and to the satisfaction of the Supervisor.
