As of 12/14/2022 The project came in over budget and all bids have been rejected. The overall intent of this project is to to obtain lighting along a select portion of the greenway. Limited lighting is expected for this and serves to provide a minimized approach for lighting the pedestrian ways. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by Chapter 135 of the Public Acts of 1945 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee and all subsequent amendments. No proposal will be opened if the contractor's Tennessee license number, date of license expiration, and applicable license classification, as required by law, do not appear on the envelope containing the proposal. No pre-bid conference is scheduled and the City will accept formal questions via email through the Parks Department at kwhittaker@whitehousetn.gov (Kevin Whittaker). All proposals must be made out on the Proposal Forms furnished with the Contract Documents and include any qualifications and details as required for definition of the proposed equipment. Bid bonds are waived on this project due to size considerations. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities in the bids received, to evaluate bids, and to accept any bid or bids which, in its opinion, may be in its best interest. The City has a budget of $25,000-$50,000 available for this project and is seeking bids to either move forward with certain construction items or take measures to gather additional funds in hopes of obtaining the desired lighting outcomes.
