As of 11/11/2022 The contract was let using best value contracting so the awarded bidder is not expected to be determined until early December. Anticipated start date is 6/5/23. Anticipated completion date is 12/5/23. The work included under this contract and covered by these specifications consists of supplying a completely operational Advanced Metering Infrastructure (aka AMI fixed network) system in the City of Cloquet. This work involves, but is not limited to, providing new water meters with transceiver units, a meter reading AMI system that includes all components, tower-based collector, meter data management software, training, accessory wire, seals, gaskets all necessary hardware and water meter installation. "Proposal for 2022 Water Meter Replacement" and incorporate the name and address of the bidder on the outside of the envelope. Proposal documents shall be in the form of one electronic pdf copy and one hard copy. Proposals must be accompanied by a corporate surety bond in an amount which is at least equal to 5% of the total proposal and must be attached to proposal in a separate sealed envelope, either as a corporate surety bond or a certified check made payable to the City of Cloquet. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City of Cloquet.
