Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Villa Rica, Georgia. Working plans call for the construction of a two-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
The Carroll County Board of Commissioners (the County) is requesting proposals for a qualified Construction Manager at Risk for the construction of New Villa Rica Fire Station No. 9 (FR 23-A006), located at 746 Bankhead Highway, Villa Rica, Georgia. This new building will replace the current Fire Station No. 9 located at 74 Industrial Blvd., Villa Rica, Georgia. The County plans to select the most qualified construction manager to enter into a contract for the above referenced project. The new fire station will be a two story building constructed of load bearing CMU exterior and interior walls. The current design will have the following spaces: 3 Apparatus Bays, Gear Room, Conference Room, Utility Rooms, Kitchen, Dining Room, Day Rooms, Fitness Room, Separate Sleeping Rooms, Locker Room, Landry Room, Restrooms/Showers, Slide/Pole, Covered Outdoor Space and Rooftop Training Areas. The building will be constructed of a Concrete Slab on Grade, CMU Structural Walls with Supplemental Steel, Steel Joists, Brick/Masonry Exterior, Metal Panel Exterior, Cementitious Board Exterior, Aluminum Storefront Glazing, Single Membrane TPO Roofing, VRF System for Sleeping + Split System HVAC & an Outdoor Generator.
