Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the Jurisdiction. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes. The bidder should not include sales tax in the bid. A sales tax exemption certificate will be available for all material purchased for incorporation in the project. Drake Observatory Foundation Repair, 102022021 The improvement includes excavation, subdrain, masonry work, foundation waterproofing, backfill, sodding and restoration, and other incidental items; all in accordance with the contract documents, including Plan File No. 646- 162/168, at Drake Observatory, 4898 Observatory Road, Des Moines, Iowa. This project shall be fully completed not later than May 31, 2023. The City of Des Moines (Jurisdiction) reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
