Renovation of a power facility in Petersburg, Alaska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.

The Petersburg Borough is seeking bids to complete the Blind Slough Hydroelectric Project Construction Contract. This contract is generally comprised of: Demolition and construction activities to accomplish the complete replacement and refurbishment of 1950's era equipment with owner-supplied generating equipment and switchgear Replacement and realignment of a portion of the lower penstock Piping modifications for the Crystal Lake Hatchery emergency water supply Other changes and modifications detailed in the plans and specifications The bids will be opened publicly in the PMPL conference room immediately following this deadline. Storm drainage will generally either infiltrate into native marshy soils or be routed to current low-lying areas for further infiltration and enhancement of existing wetlands. The vegetated areas will stabilize the underlying soils, preventing erosion and migration of soil particles into Crystal Creek.
