This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is 75N92023Q0532 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document, the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-08 effective 09/23/2022. (iv) This requirement will be set-aside for small business, the associated NAICS code is 325120, Industrial Gas Manufacturing, Small Business Size,1000. The acquisition is being conducted in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. Statement of Work Background The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the nation's medical research agency-- making important discoveries that improve health and save lives. The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) improves dental, oral, and craniofacial health through research, research training, and the dissemination of health information. The NIDCR, has a requirement to obtain Liquid Nitrogen for use with experiments and to keep samples that require frozen storage. This building-wide resource is essential for scientific studies carried out in Building 30 of the NIH's main campus. Scientists from research groups in the NIDCR critically depend on this resource to implement their studies. Contractor Requirements: A. PROJECT OVERVIEW 1. Building Number - 30 2. Location - Loading dock area (30 Convent Dr, Bethesda, MD 20892) 3. Summary of Requested Effort a. Remove existing Liquid Nitrogen gas from existing 1500L tank b. Disconnect all piping and control wiring. c. Remove existing 1500L tank from pad and salvage. d. Provide and install new 3000L Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) tank. e. Reinstall all piping and control wiring. f. Fill tank, purge system and activate service to all interior freezers.
