Prospective Bidders are referred to specific elements of the Bid Manual for additional information that will affect bid submission. o The project will be constructed as "Construction Manager At-Risk" with all bids awarded by the Board of Education being assigned to International Contractors, Inc. (ICI) o Advertisement for Bid o Bid Form: The project is a lump sum bid that will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder as awarded by the Board of Education o ICI Standard Subcontractor Agreement o Scope of Work for specific Bid Package applicable to the submitted bid o Performance and Payment Bonds o ICI is the Construction Manager for the School District and is not providing any labor or material for the project. o All coordination efforts, materials, labor, etc. are provided by the respective trade contractors to fully complete their work. This provision is not overridden by supplier comments in shop drawings or notes stated by the Architect in the contract documents. Trades are to clarify any concerns prior to the bid submission date. The Work consists of the following at: 1. Elmwood Park High School (BASE BID #1): The work will consist of interior remodeling of the existing school building. The existing Large Group Instruction Room (LGI) on the first floor is being renovated to accommodate the new District Office, classrooms, and a new two-story elevator. The District Office will have a reception area, offices, conference room, work room, kitchenette, and a toilet room. The secondfloor work will consist of remodeling the existing Media Center. The Media Center will consist of the Media Center itself along with classrooms, breakout rooms, offices, and toilet rooms. The work will include associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Work is as noted on the drawings and in the Project Manual. Refer to Construction Manager's scope for extent of work and schedule. 2. Elm Middle School (BASE BID #2): The work consists of interior remodeling of the existing school building. The existing Main Office is being remodeled and will include a reception area, offices, conference room and a toilet rooms. As an Alternate, the Boys and Girls multi-user toilet rooms are being renovated. The work will include associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
