Presentation: Monday, November 14, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. during the regular session of the Commissioners Court in the Courthouse Annex, 309 E. Milam, Suite 602, Wharton, Texas Bids must be submitted on the bid form included in this package. Bids must be signed by principal or officer authorized to bind the bidder. All pages are to be initialed and returned. Please note in the subject line of the email submitted: "Asbestos Abatement-Wharton County Storage Facility". This bid shall be on a lump sum method as allowed under 262.028 of the Local Government Code. All bidders must complete a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire. By law this questionnaire must be filed with the records administrator of the local government entity per Section 176.006(a-1) of the Local Government Code. This form can be accessed portal. The County may not enter into a contract with a business entity unless a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire (Form CIQ) is provided to the County at the time the bid is considered for action by Commissioners' Court. Wharton County Commissioners' Court will not consider for action any contract with a business entity unless the business entity submits a Certificate of Interested Parties (Form 1295). A business entity will generate Form 1295 online AFTER notification of awarding of the bid. The Texas Ethics Commission promulgated rules to implement the law and established. The successful bidder must complete this form and submit the signed and notarized form before the contract is executed. Wharton County reserves the right to award this bid to the responsible bidder who submitted the lowest and best bid or reject any and/or all bids and act in the best interest of the County. SALES TAX-Wharton County is exempt from sales tax by law. Wharton County will furnish, upon request, sales tax exemption forms to the bidder that is awarded bid. Bidder shall bear the responsibility of any sales or use tax if any product or supply is deemed to be taxable by State. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond at the signing of the contract per Local Government Code 262.032. Job will require scheduling of services to be performed with Paul Shannon, Maintenance Consultant, and Loflin Environmental Services, Inc. in order to coordinate timing of the project.
