As of Dec 27 the project was awarded to Cerami & Browning Construction Inc for $2,889,248.78. Red Bluff Union Elementary School District requests that bidders consider not attending the bid opening in person, and that bids be submitted by mail or electronic forms. A bid review will not take place at the opening instead, bid results will be sent to all bidders electronically. Each bid must conform and be responsive to this invitation, the instructions to bidders, the General Conditions, Contract, Specifications, Plans, and all other documents comprising the Contract Documents. Contractor must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The Contractor must provide their own DSA pre-checked (PC) approved documents which are substantially the same as those in the bid package. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Pursuant to Section 1700, et seq., of the California Labor Code, the Contractor shall pay no less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the California Department of Industrial Relations. Pursuant to Section 22300 of the California Public Contract Code, the Contractor may elect to receive 100% of payments due under the contract from time to time, without retention of any portion of the payment by the Owner to ensure Contractor's performance under the Contract, by depositing securities with the Owner. Alternatively, Contractor may request that the Owner make payment of any retained monies earned directly to an escrow agent at the expense of Contractor. The Provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 22300 are incorporated herein by reference as though set forth in full and shall govern the substitution of securities and/or an escrow account. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids, to waive any irregularities in the Bids or Bidding, and to be the sole judge as to the merit, quality, and acceptability of labor and materials proposed and their compliance with the plans and specifications, if it be in the best interest of Owner.
