Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Milton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The building will require an extensive interior renovation, roof replacement, new air handling units, new and enlarged parking lots, and coordination of the installation of a new portable classroom building, including installation of foundations and services (power, water, sewer). Conestoga College has purchased 8160 Parkhill Drive, Milton. The building is a two-storey commercial office building of 21,642 sq ft and sits on 4.02 acres of land within an industrial park. Conestoga will renovate the building for use as a transitional academic building until a new facility can be constructed in the Milton Education Village (MEV). The intent is to have eleven, 40+ seat classrooms on the property with necessary student support spaces. The building is vacant, and the successful general contractor can mobilize to site immediately following award. The intent is for the renovation work to be completed for September 1, 2023. The Owner has pre-purchased two new air handling units (mid-May delivery), electrical switchboard, electrical transformer and portable classroom building to assist the long lead time items. The construction budget for the renovations to the building and site is $5 million, excluding the pre-purchase of the portable classroom building. The successful contractor will be responsible for all site health and safety as the constructor, for after hours security services, all site maintenance including snow clearing and lawn cutting, and temporary building heating as required.
