Site work and paving for a road / highway in Kyle, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Scope of work: Construction of curb and gutter and signing and pavement markings. Construction consists of: Approximately 314 linear feet, raised median. Approximately 161 linear feet, curb and gutter. Street Reconstruction and Widening. Railroad signing and pavement markings. Center Street: Construction of Raised Median (166 ft.), Curb and Gutter (71ft), pavement structure, striping, and signage. South Street: Construction of Raised Median (166 ft.), non- mountable curb (135 ft.), pavement structure, striping, and signage. Project cost range antipated to be 100K to 175K Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form provided, and must be accompanied by a bid security in a penal sum approximately equal to and not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The security shall be in the form of a certified check or cashier's check, or bid bond furnished by a reliable surety company having authority under the laws of Texas to write surety bonds in the amount required, with such security made payable without recourse to the City of Kyle. The envelope containing the bid shall indicate clearly on the front that the bid is for the RAILROAD QUIET ZONE IMPROVMENTS - CENTER STREET AND SOUTH STREET project. The final Notice of Award of Contract shall be given to the successful bidder by the City of Kyle within seventy five (75) days following the opening of bids and no bidder may withdraw his bid within seventy five (75) days after opening thereof. The successful Bidder must furnish a payment bond and performance bond, when required, on the form provided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. State statutes including wage and hour provisions and contract regulations must be adhered to as they relate to this project. Contractors will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. Bidders should carefully examine the plans, specifications and other documents, visit the site of work, and fully inform themselves as to all conditions and matters which can in any way affect the work or the cost thereof. Should a bidder find discrepancies in, or omissions from, the plans, specifications or other documents, or should be in doubt as to their meaning, bidder should notify the Project Engineer electronically. Obtain clarification prior to submitting any bid, but no later than November 4, 2022. Answer to the questions pertaining to the bid and addendums will be posted electronically no later than November 8, 2022. Bidder shall be responsible to check electronically site before submitting bid. The right is reserved, as the interest of the City of Kyle may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in bids received.
