This project shall be constructed in accordance with the contract documents and specifications contained within the latest edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction A certified check or Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid, made payable to the City of Philadelphia, must accompany each Bid proposal All Bidders responding to this Advertisement for Bids must comply with all applicable requirements of Chapters 3 and 5 of Title 31 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, including, but not limited to, the requirements relative to holding a Certificate of Responsibility and payment of a special privilege tax; both items administered by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. All Bids received shall display the Bidder's Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing the Bidder's proposal. The Successful Bidder must provide both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond (each in the amount of one hundred percent [100%] of the Contract) upon execution of the Contract. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within Sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Within the limitation of the state law, the City of Philadelphia reserves the right to reject any or all bids received, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, or to accept any bid that is deemed most favorable to the City of Philadelphia.
