This item shall consist of the rehabilitation /refurbishment of the existing FAA L-802 high-intensity airport rotating beacon. The existing beacon may be replaced with a completely refurbished and rehabilitated 36" airport rotating beacon of like type and FAA designation to conserve down time. The old beacon will be traded towards the purchase of the new beacon. All labor, materials and incidentals necessary for a complete and operable installation shall be included in this work item. The existing beacon shall be installed on the existing water tank. The installer shall mount, level and wire the beacon in accordance with the beacon manufacturer's recommendations. The rehabilitated beacon shall be outfitted with a 400 watt high-output pulse-start metal halide light source having a minimum life expectancy of 15,000 hours. The beacon shall be painted bright aluminum. The beacon shall have a belt drive and shall rotate at 12 RPM.
