WEST WARWICK PUBLIC SCHOOLS INVITATION TO BID For Kitchen Equipment The West Warwick School Committee solicits bids for the above. SCOPE OF WORK 1. The bidder shall deliver and set up kitchen equipment as per specifications.
2. The bidder shall provide, assemble and have ready for use all racks included in the specifications.
3. Review installation procedures and coordination required with related work.
4. All plumbing and electrical hookup services shall be provided by others.
5. The bidder shall deliver, uncrate, set in place, make ready for connections by others.
6. To obtain approval of unspecified or "equal" materials or products, written requests from bidders shall be submitted to Ken Townsend, Director of Facilities, at least five (10) days prior to the day of the bid opening. Requests shall clearly state: 1) Project name; 2) Name of the specified product; 3) Name of the proposed product for substitution and complete documentary literature, itemized in detail as to its equivalency or superiority to the specified product. If the product is accepted, its approval will be indicated in the addenda for all bidders to be notified. If no requests for equal or equal to or approved equal materials are made within the stated time frame, then only those manufacturers' products and/or materials that were specified will be acceptable for use.
Bid security in the amount of 5% must accompany each bid in one of the following forms: (1) bid bond; (2) certified check; (3) treasurer's check; or (4) cashiers check. Checks must be made out to: West Warwick Public Schools.
West Warwick Public Schools reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and to be the sole judge of quality and equality
