Renovation of a water / sewer project in Bernville, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the renovation of a water pump station.
The purpose for this amendment is to cancel the current solicitation, W912BU23R0011, as of 12 May 2023. Contractor shall design and install an Emergency Generator at the Bernville Protective Works Pump Station, including construction of a concrete pad to set the generator on outside of the pump station and install security fence around it. The Contract Period of Performance for this work will be based on lead time needed to purchase generator, anticipated 60 days for design and reviews once NTP is issued. The town of Bernville, Pennsylvania is protected by a levee and pump station that were built in conjunction with the Blue Marsh project. The Bernville Protective Works currently does not have an emergency backup generator in case of utility power failure. If a power failure were to occur during a significant event, the town of Bernville would be subject to consequential flooding. With an emergency backup generator, this flooding could be prevented. Per a site visit report and recommendations from a multi-agency Emergency Table top Exercise conducted in 2018, an emergency generator needs to be designed, purchased and installed at the Bernville Pump Station.
