Site work and paving for a civil project in Wharton, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

It is the intent of Wharton County to contract for only materials, equipment, tools, services, labor and supervision necessary to construct bridge on CR 403 @ Willow Creek specified herein. Point of contact will be Wharton County Commissioner Precinct 4, Doug Mathews @ 979-543-3561. Fill out, initial each page, Sign contract sheet, and return to the Wharton County Auditor one complete bid form. An authorized representative of the bidder must sign the contract sheet. The contract will be binding only when signed by the Wharton County Judge and a purchase order authorizing the item(s) desired has been issued. All bidders must submit, with bid, a cashiers check or certified check for 5% of the total bid price, payable to the order of Wharton County or a Bid Bond in the same amount issued by a surety, acceptable to Wharton County authorized to do H Audit Bids Bid Forms Bridges and Drainage Pipes 2022 CR403 AT WILLOW CREEK.doc 3 of 24 Initials: business in the State of Texas, as a guarantee that the Bidder will do the work described herein at the rates stated herein. Unsuccessful bidders cashiers check or certified check will be returned only after a written request to do so is received by the Wharton County Treasurer. In the event the total accepted bid price exceeds $25,000 the successful bidder must provide to the office of the County Auditor, a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the total contract sum within 10 calendar days after receipt of notification of bid award. Such bonds shall be executed by a corporate surety duly authorized and admitted to do business in the State of Texas and licensed in the State of Texas to issue surety bonds with a Best Rating of A or better. Wharton county reserves the right to accept or reject any surety company proposed by the bidder. In the event wharton county rejects the proposed surety company, the bidder will be afforded five additional days to submit the required bonds issued by a surety company acceptable to wharton county. An Attorney-in-fact who signs a bid bond, performance bond or payment bond must file with each bond a certified and effectively dated copy of his or her power of attorney.
