Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Overland Park, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The improvements include demolition of existing pavement, concrete paving, concrete sidewalk, concrete curb, grading, and traffic control. All bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, addressed to the Blue Valley Recreation Commission, Attn: Jim Hook. At the above stated time and place, all bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the designated closing time will be returned unopened. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the Blue Valley Recreation Commission, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid which may be retained by the Blue Valley Recreation Commission until a Contract for the project shall have been awarded and executed with the successful Bidder. The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder, but the Blue Valley Recreation Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in bids, or to take bids under advisement. Bidders are advised that the Agreement contains a stipulated completion date.
