Renovation of an educational facility in Waynesboro, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
You are invited to bid on a general contract for renovations at Wenonah Elementary School (WE) and Wayne Hills Center (WH). See Pre-Bid Conference and bid opening information in the attachment. Work at Wenonah Elementary School (WE) includes, but may not be limited to: Replacement of the HVAC system, suspended acoustical tile ceilings, lights, and exterior doors and windows. There will be asbestos abatement at the Wayne Hills Center. Work at Wayne Hills Center (WH) includes, but may not be limited to: Replacement of the HVAC system, spray-applied insulation at a portion of the existing roof deck, suspended acoustical tile ceilings, lights, and a new exterior concrete stair with a new incline lift. There will be asbestos abatement at the Wayne Hills Center. All bids shall be on a lump sum basis. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than 5% of the amount of the bid, which may be a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond of 5% of the amount of the bid, made payable to the Waynesboro City, VA School Board. A performance bond and payment bond will be required, and the cost shall be included in the base bid. This project is subject to Davis-Bacon Wage Determination No. VA20220014 The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids.
