Renovation of a residential development in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

** As of December 8, 2022, project was awarded to 5 Star Roofing but awarded amount is not available.** Any / all such interpretations and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of a written Addenda to the Specifications that, if issued, will be released on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, by 4:30 pm. This contract is federally assisted; and will obligate the awardee not to discriminate in employment practices as mandated by the Davis-Bacon Act and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to respond. CHA reserves the right to retain all bid packages submitted and use any idea in a bid package regardless of whether the bid package is selected. The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston reserves the right to wave irregularities, to reject any/and all bids, and to re-advertise this project in accordance with any state, local and federal regulations. Project related questions may be directed to the CHA Project Manager, Ms. Marymims Goldman via email mmg@chacity.org Question Deadline 11/04/2022 at 12:00 PM ET The Scope of Work is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: Reroofing of all buildings at the Housing Authority of the City of Charleston's residential developments located at Athens Court, Romney Street, & Sequoia Street. Reroofing will include but not be specifically limited to the removal of and the supply and installation of new shingles, underlayment, drip-edge, rain diverters, and miscellaneous roof-mounted appurtenances; of all flashing at chimneys, stacks, vents, and all other thru-roof penetrations; removal and replacement of rotten, deteriorated or otherwise damaged roof members including but not limited to sheathing, decking, and/or associated supporting members. Inspect condition of existing sheathing at all locations. Advise the CHA on needed sheathing replacement. Unit costs provided by the contractor will be used for any additional approved roof sheathing replacement and will also be used for credit back to CHA if total quantity of roof sheathing replacement is less than allowance. Nail to secure all loose existing sheathing. Install new boots. Remove existing flashing Install new flashing. Supply and install new pre-finished 4"x 1 1/2 " white drip edge (contractor to submit sample for approval). Install ice and water shield directly to bare existing new roof sheathing throughout. Install ice and water shield directly to bare existing or new roof sheathing to entire porch roof areas. Supply and install new rain diverters at existing locations.
