Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Check covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Dawson Springs Independent Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with, and paid directly to, Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check. Electronic copies of the plans will be available and shall be arranged with, and paid for directly to, MacoEvansville Blue (non-refundable) Partial sets of documents are not available. Deposits will be refunded to contractors who submit a bona fide proposal to the Owner (directly or through a prime contractor) and return the documents, in an acceptable and reusable condition within ten days of the opening of the bids. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days there from. The scoring of bids/proposals is subject to Reciprocal preference for Kentucky resident bidders and Preferences for a Qualified Bidder. Please refer to specification sections 00220 and 00450. The Owner reserves the right to determine the ability of any bidder to perform the work, and upon the request of the Owner, any bidder shall furnish such information as may be required to make this determination. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a performance and payment bond and a material and payment bond in an amount equal to at least One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract price. The premium for the bonds shall be included in the proposal amount(s). The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner and to reject any bid where evidence of information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the Bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents. Drawings and specifications are dated September 26, 2022. Abbreviated Written Summary: Briefly and without force and effect upon the contract documents, the work of the Contract can be summarized as follows: Project Description: Reroofing work at both schools. The Work Includes, but is not limited to, miscellaneous carpentry, formed metal wall and soffit panels, fabric reinforced system, manufactured roof specialties, painting, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris. 1. Dawson Springs High School: Replace existing gutters, fascia and soffit. Repair all storm damage at existing roof and install recoat system over the existing modified Bitumen roof membrane with an embedded fabric, 2 base coats, 1 coat reflective top coat. 2. Dawson Springs Elementary School: Repair all storm damage at existing roof and install recoat system over the existing modified Bitumen roof membrane with an embedded fabric, 2 base coats, 1 coat reflective top coat. Proposals will be received as a Lump Sum Bid(s) for the work indicated in the Bidding Documents.
