Renovation of an educational facility in Akron, Ohio. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of December 29,2022, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid.** The Work consists of the following: 1. The goal of the project is to replace the existing split system HVAC units in the Hower House. The Hower House is a historical building. The scope of work of the project includes, but is not limited to the following: a. Demolition of the existing HVAC units and associated refrigerant piping per drawings. b. Mechanical and electrical work for the installation of the new HVAC system per the drawings. c. Hower House is a historical building, ALL demolition or restoration of the building walls, ceilings, floors is required to be completed by a company with historical restoration experience (General Contractor). The contractor bid package shall list the company with the companys qualifications with historical building restorations. Project is to remove the existing HVAC systems and replace with new HVAC equipment in the Hower House. The Hower House is a Historical building and the project restoration contract is to have experience with historical buildings The University of Akron is seeking bids for the Hower House HVAC Replacement. All questions must be submitted through electronically, no emails or phone calls regarding this bid will be entertained.
