Site work for a water / sewer project in Oxford, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work for this project includes construction of approximately 238 feet of 8-inch gravity sewer and approximately 35 feet of 12-inch steel casing; construction of connections from existing sewer of the jail to the proposed sewer; and, demolition of approximately 230 feet of 8-inch gravity sewer. Contractor shall commence work on or before a date to be stipulated in the Notice to Proceed. The contract will be awarded to the lowest and/or best bid from a responsive responsible and qualified Bidder. Should no award be made within forty-five (45) calendar days after opening of proposals, all proposals may be rejected and all proposal guaranties returned, unless the lowest responsive responsible qualified bidder, at the request of the Owner, Lafayette County Board of Supervisors agrees in writing to a longer delay. Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid, and such proposals may not be considered in making the award. The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids if considered not in the best interest of Lafayette County.
