The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University hereby requests letters of interest from Architects/Engineers to provide professional services for the following University project: Professional Service Retainer Contract for Hazardous Materials Consulting. Hazardous Materials firm to provide professional services on an open-ended basis for a term not to exceed eight (8) years or $3,000,000 which ever expires first. There would not be any guarantee of work assigned. Services would be performed on an as needed basis during the contract period. The following are some, but not all the typical services that could be required by the firm(s) selected: Hazardous materials design engineering Cost estimates Consulting services including asbestos/lead/pcb abatement inspections, sampling/testing, project design and other associated work.This project will be administered by Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois. Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board. Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois. Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents. There is a 30 percent BEP goal for this procurement. The contract(s) for this solicitation could exceed $50,000 annually.
