Construction of 11.484 Miles of Reseal on the Roads A-1-E In accordance with the Provisions of Section 31-7-13, Mississippi Code of 1972 as amended by House Bills numbered 901 and 1306 ofthe 1991 regular Legislative Session, the advertisement for receipt of bids on this project must be made once each week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a regular newspaper published in your county and, further, that the date as published for the bid opening shall not be less than fifteen (15) working days after the last published notice. The date, as set above, should be no sooner than the sixteenth working day after thelast advertisement appears in the newspaper. The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement; minority business enterprise will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Chickasaw County and the State of Mississippi must accompany each proposal. Bids will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom PLANS AND PROPOSALS have been issued by the County Engineer, and whose name appears on the official list of Planholders maintained by the County Engineer. Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award.
