Bids received in the County's Procurement Office after the date and hour designated are automatically disqualified and will not be considered. The County is not responsible for delays in the delivery of mail by the U.S. Postal Services, private couriers, or the County's mail system. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that its bid reaches the County's Procurement office by the designated date and hour. Bid receipts and openings or the receipt of bids scheduled during a period of suspended business operation will be rescheduled for processing at the same time on the next business day. Bids must meet all specifications, terms and conditions of this Invitation for Bid (IFB). Bidders need to submit their current W-9 with the Federal Identification number in the bid, as well as the identification number issued to you by the Virginia State Corporation Commission, or a statement as to why such number is not required. The contractor is responsible for all requirements and successful performance of this contract. Nothing herein is intended to exclude any responsible vendor, his/her product or service, or in any way restrain, or restrict competition. On the contrary, all responsible vendors are encouraged to bid. Quoted prices shall be F.O.B. to Prince George, Virginia unless otherwise noted. Unless otherwise agreed to at the time of award, payment terms are Net 30. SCOPE OF WORK The work shall involve the relocation of the sewer force main. The awarded contractor shall provide all necessary labour, supervision, equipment, supplies, parts, tools, materials, transportation, record documentation, support services and resources necessary to complete the described work in accordance with the included specifications, drawings and contract documents. i APPLICABLE LAWS AND COURTS: This solicitation and any resulting contract shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and any litigation with respect thereto shall be brought in the courts of the County. The contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. ANTI-DISCRIMINATION: By submitting their bids, bidders certify to the County that they will conform to the provisions of the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, as well as the Virginia Fair Employment Contracting Act of 1975, as amended, where applicable, the Virginians with Disabilities Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and 2.2-4311 of the Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA).
