Renovation of a detention facility in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The Division of Facilities Development, hereinafter termed DFD, hereby announces that it is advertising for bids from certified contractors for the above project. In general the work consists of: the addition of a new nitrogen generator system to serve dry pipe sprinkler systems on the P1, P2, P3 and P4 levels. Enclosure of a mechanical room on P1 to house the nitrogen generator and associated electrical and heating work. Installation of a bypass loop to be used for fire pump testing. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsins prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. Bid Bond: 10% Performance Bond: 100% Payment Bond: 100% Completion Date: 180 Calendar Days.
