The project involves excavating the existing pavement to subgrade and reconstructing a new pavement section consisting of aggregate subbase, hot mix asphalt base course, and hot mix asphalt pavement; demolishing and replacing portions of the existing concrete sidewalks and ramps in various locations; reconstructing street and centerline monuments; adjusting valve boxes and manhole frames and covers; installing new pavement markings, signage, and reflective markers. To be eligible to bid, bidders must be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors. Upon bid opening, all bid documents submitted will be available for viewing by all bidders on electronically. Contractors are hereby notified of the applicability of Section 11-205.5, HRS, which states that campaign contributions are prohibited from specified State or County government contractors during the term of the contract if the contractors are paid with funds appropriated by the legislative body.
