This is a Non-Tenant direct with a D4 priority and an X1 qualifier: Seed funding - DESIGN PHASE (2021-2022): SSC would like to improve the cooling efficiency of the SSC Data Centre by using the existing drop ceiling as an AC return plenum. However we recently learned that the FM200 system does not have enough gas to cover the additional space of the drop ceiling (approx 48 lbs). Further, we were advised that FM200 can no longer be installed or refreshed (if there is a discharge) due to the high Global Warming Potential (GWP) of FM200. To adequately protect SSC servers at the RCMP D-DIV, SSC would like to remove the FM200 System and install a new "Clean Agent" system -- Likely Novec 1230. This would also cover off replacing the controls, and removal of all FM200 piping/controls (including option to remove in OCC Room) -- with appropriate fire-panel work (Clear Diagram, logic description etc) of how new System will work in relation to the current 2-phase water suppression (as last resort). Build/Construction Phase likely to occur in 2022-2023. Training provided to local BGIS and SSC. Once new system is operational -- we would like to have Nor-Tec complete the cooling efficiency work / operationalization of the drop ceiling as a return-air duct to the Liebert and other AC's (as possible).
