The City of Eureka, Missouri, is requesting qualifications from firms or individuals to provide professional services for Mountain Bike Park maintenance and improvements on an as-needed basis. The Eureka Mountain Bike Park is a facility for recreational bicycle and walking activities comprised of multiple features designed to accommodate a wide range of skills and ability. The project area is adjacent to The Timbers of Eureka (Recreation Center) located at 1 Coffey Park Lane. Identify overall trail conditions followed by developing rehabilitation, erosion mitigation, maintenance and improvement plans, followed by performing the necessary work as authorized by the City. Perform regular inspections of all components of the Mountain Bike Park including trails, features, signage and take corrective action as directed. Public sector trail building experience including, but not limited to, bicycle focused trails. Ability to perform repairs and maintenance in a stable, sustainable and trail rating appropriate manner. Experience in the use of equipment which may be necessary to perform repairs or maintenance including a mini-excavator, skid steer, surface compactor and watering equipment. Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and powertools which may be necessary to perform repairs or maintenance. Experience in working with subcontractors and other specialists as needed. Ability to satisfy general liability insurance requirements in the amount of $2,000,000 per incident. The City of Eureka will evaluate and rank response to the Request for Qualifications based on the established selection criteria. The recommendation to award a contract will be contingent on the successful negotiation of contract terms. If a contract cannot be successfully negotiated with the selected firm at a fee schedule determined to be fair and reasonable, the City reserves that right to negotiate with another proposer. Afterthe successfulfirm isselected, a proposed Ordinance to enter into a contract will be considered by the Board of Aldermen. The City reserves the right to reject any or all responses to this Request for Qualifications. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
